Heritage United Church

This charity conducts weekly christian worship services on sundays and other significant occasions and dates within the christian church calendar. It provides pastoral care and offers christian fellowship through bible study youth group children's sunday school ucw and the prayer shawl ministry. The charity also conducts christian baptisms marriages and burials. Participants become actively involved in worship through music (choirs etc) children's sunday school youth group and pastoral outreach and visitation. Outreach is provided through visitation crisis counseling and the prayer shawl ministry. Monetary support is provided to the mission and services fund and other appeals of the united church of canada. With the assistance of our pastoral leader the congregation sponsors sign-language classes on a weekly basis. These classes are open to anyone in the local area. Local programming now includes our pastoral leader teaching sign-language classes at the local elementary school and pet therapy sessions with a therapy dog. The congregation has also initiated a syrian refugee sponsorship under united church of canada sponsorship agreement (sah). Heritage united church in considered a constituent group/sponsor
