Heartache2hope provides grief support education and resources to promote healing and resilience for individuals who have experienced a suicide loss. We provide a continuum of care that is based on best practices. Program delivery includes monthly drop-in support group meetings 12-week closed support groups offered in the halton and hamilton areas as well as across ontario virtually 1:1 grief counseling wellness activities and a hopeline (weekdays). The group sessions are facilitated by one professional and one trained peer support volunteer. The 1:1 peer support is provided by a grief professional or peer supporters who have received specialized training. We provide an annual 'international survivors of suicide loss' event.
