About Healthy Start Healthy Future Inc.
We envision a world free from preventable perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs). Our goal is to prevent PMADs whenever possible and provide evidence-based support to those affected ensuring that every preventable case is eradicated and the remaining cases receive the necessary support to achieve full recovery. We aim for every parent to have the resources tools and support needed to maintain optimal mental health. Life With A Baby is dedicated to supporting parents dealing with mild to moderate PMADs through evidence-based peer support and resources. Our mandate is twofold: 1. Prioritize perinatal mental health by fostering a robust peer-support parenting network. 2. Engage in advocacy research and training for frontline perinatal health professionals. We provide programming support and accessible resources to ensure every parent can thrive Over the past 10 years Life With A Baby peer-support programs have helped over 50 000 parents and families thrive. The why behind our format is simple - creating spaces for parents to connect with others navigating the same experiences works. Peer-led support programs can reduce the occurrence of Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders by up to 50%. Each chapter is run by a dedicated Community Chapter Manager moms who live in the same community trained to both manage the unique needs of their local members and to help spot and connect parents who need more in-depth help. Our HOPE Perinatal Mood and Anxiety support groups are a way for moms diagnosed with a PMAD to get to the other side of mental health challenges.
