1. Support and facilitate the participation of volunteers in the health system as board members research and policy-makers and caregivers. 2. Provide input into various government policy and research processes on health and other relevant issues. 3. Provide distance learning education programs that enhance the health of Canadians through the appropriate training of health workers. 4. Publish books research and policy briefs and other resources on health issues and services in Canada to enhance and transfer knowledge. 5. Hold health leadership conferences and events that focus on best practices in health delivery and health policy issues.
