Haven Refugees

Haven refugees activities during the year were focused on its primary activty of providing settlement assistance to refugees. This included haven staff meeting with refugee clients welcoming the refugees to canada understanding their situation and developing an action plan to address settlement challenges such as housing emloyment and access to social services. Haven also supported refugees by connecting them with our volunteers for the purposes of social connectivity employment and networking and other core components of resettlement. Haven provided in-person and online opportunities for refugees to connect with each other and with members of the broader canadian community contributing to the resettlement of refugees. No new programs outside of what was discribed in 'ongoing programs' were carried on during the fiscal period.
