Harcourt Memorial United Church

Our minister paid staff and lay leaders present varied public worship services each week. Worship services are in person and live-streamed. Services are recorded for convenience of later viewing. Our intergenerational Manna service meets in person in the church or at selected outdoor locations. Pastoral care is handled by in-person visits phone and electronic contacts. Weddings baptisms and funerals are officiated by the minister voluntary associates and staff. Our members participate in religious study reflective discussions and spiritual developments in person or in Zoom gatherings. We support the community by providing meeting spaces and food donations from our gardens fruit trees and member gifts. We provide support for social justice issues and initiatives through Chalmers Community Services Centre Stepping Stone and the University of Guelph Ecumenical Campus Ministry all in Guelph. We support national and global work through donations to the United Church of Canada Church's Mission and Service Fund. We have initiated the engagement and development of community partnerships and increasing rent of available facility space to help support the Church's mission. This will be an ongoing program.
