Hantsport Pastoral Charge

In 2024 avon united church (hantsport pastoral charge) held regular worship services and a special christmas eve service. On-going pastoral care was facilitated by the minister as needed. The church supports the united church of canada mission and service fund and various community outreach activities such as: the sherbrooke lake children's camp. The atlantic school of theology the hantsport food bank and provides meeting space for local non-profits such as hantsport aa the four seasons community orchestra hantsport prayer group and local musicians. The church also maintains a senior choir and a hand bell choir. In 2024 the church hosted 16 community outreach fundraiser events including: international woman's day a book club/coffee club a service for local pride group seminars painting classes concerts xmas angels fundraiser and serveral community dinners ; all revenue raised through free-will offering was returned to the community via local charities.
