AWARD WINNING VOLUNTEER ORGANIZATION. 600 VOLUNTEERS PROVIDED FREE FOOD SECURITY AND REFERRAL SERVICE TO LOW INCOME Award winning volunteer organization. 600 volunteers provide free food security and referral service to low income disability mobility and health challenged clients of all ages; basic house keeping and laundry to ages 19 - 65 Energetic Hands: Volunteers are paired with isolated low-income clients aged 1965 who face disability chronic illness or mobility challenges. They provide basic in-home housekeeping and light home support. Youth Action Teams: Adult-led youth (grade 12 students) teams provide in-home support for qualified clients while developing community engagement and leadership skills. Food Hamper & Fresh Produce Delivery: In partnership with local food banks and Helens Acres we deliver fresh produce and food hampers to clients who are unable to access food support due to mobility or transportation limitations. Living Salads: Seasonal program distributing 450 planters filled with greens and herbs (Swiss chard leaf lettuce parsley chives and more). These are delivered to clients for continued access to fresh produce throughout the growing season
