Hancock Wildlife Foundation

Hancock wildlife foundation (hwf): broadcasts live streaming videos of eagles fish estuary life and other bird species on the world wide web; provides lecture on eagles conservation and related topics in schools and to the general public throughout british columbia and other locations; participates in wildlife festivals in british columbia and other locations; sponsors research projects on bald eagles and peregrine falcons; supports students in studies particularly bald eagle research; participates in the bald eagle tracking alliance to track eagles to assess their impact on ecosystems nest entry nesting distribution and reproductive success of raptors; undertakes research on creating raptor nests when they need relocation or reintroduction to good nesting habitat and contributes to mitigration projects. The government of british columbia ministry of forests has given hwf responsibility for holding developer funds in trust and administering projects to migrate and enhance habitat affected by development. Cameras are contunually added replaced and repositioned at live streaming sites. In 2024 sponsored co-op student for bald eagle research.
