Habitat for Humanity Waterloo Region Inc

Construction of homes sold to lower income families. Provision of interest-free mortgages to the families who purchase the homes. Homes are built in partnership with the families who must complete 500 volunteer hours. Monthly volunteer labour is used in construction of the homes. We also operate two restores (waterloo and cambridge on) which sell donated goods to the general public. The organization controls three not-for-profit organizations ('controlled npo's) namely build now: waterloo region build now: holborn court and build new: university east. The controlled npos were incorporated in 2024 under the not-for-profit corporations act of ontario for the purpose of developing and marketing ownership units affordable to lower income families.
