Habitat for Humanity Southern Alberta promotes home ownership as the means to break the poverty cycle. This is accomplished by: -Construction of Affordable homes for low income families -Selection of partner families for Habitat homes -Support and Education for partner families on care and maintenance of homes -Provide Interest free mortgage to partner families -Carry out Peak Ownership program in Partnership with Alberta Housing and Municipal Affairs and Trico Charitable Foundation. The Peak Program provides potential homeowners with assistance to qualify for mortages Operates 3 Restores in Alberta and uses the proceeds generated to offset overhead costs of the charity ensuring that donations go directly to mission of Habitat. Donating used goods to Habitat also prevents items from going to landfill.
