H.E.L.P. for Youth Canada Society

H.e.l.p. For youth canada society continues to assist vancouver's unhoused and marginalized youth on two levels: 1. Project backpack: a community-based campaign that links up the resorces and spirit of hundreds of caring students clubs private citizens and businesses with the basic needs of vancouver unhoused youth. To date we have donated thousands of backpacks stuffed with items that help youth survive on the streets. This campaign also educates the community-at-large about the issue of unhoused youth and ways in which support can be provided. 2. The h.e.l.p. Bursary continues to work with professionals in the industry to seek out marginalized youth who are ready to go back to school obtain an education through which to find employment. To date h.e.l.p.'s bursary youth have pursued programs at : university of british columbia simon fraser university british columbia institute of technology langara college vancouver community college kwantlen polytechnical university douglas college thompson river university vancouver school of massage therapy pacific vocational college burnaby early childhood education and other trade programs. Our youths' success is accomplished by the recipient's hard work the dedicated vigilance and direction of support workers and h.e.l.p.'s mandate.
