Guitars for Kids - Toronto

GFKT provides disadvantaged youth an opportunity for cognitive and personal development through music. GFKT provides the youth with musical instruments and on-line learning. The distribution of guitars is delivered primarily through third-party public agencies such as Big Brothers/Big Sisters schools community organizations and direct appeal at no cost to the recipient and with no recourse. The GFKT team consists of a handful of volunteers collecting donations donated instruments coordinating repairs if required and delivering to the recipients. To the end of December 31 2024 GFKT has delivered over 500 guitars in the greater Toronto area. In 2024 GFKT focused on its core activities and did not initiate any new programs.
