Groundswell Education Society

The EXPLORE program is now called Leadership for Social Change. We infuse of social environmental and economic justice into our curriculum and work with people who have barriers to access and who want to contribute to positive social change with their work. We support people to articulate their values uncover their strengths and practice their agency to work towards making the changes they want to see in their communities through self-employment small business non-profits cooperatives and community initiatives. The program offers skill training and practice in adaptability communication creativity and innovation collaboration and problem solving as well as nervous system regulation in order to build personal resilience for social change work. The Charity ran a pilot program called Building Collective Power which supported alumni of the Leadership for Social Change program to deepen and practice the skills they learned as leaders of their own community projects.
