About Grocer 4 Good Ability Development Program
To provide job skills training for and provide paid employment for persons with an autism spectrum disorder other intellectual disabilities and chronic underemployment. To provide support and encouragement to persons with autism spectrum disorder other intellectual disabilities and chronic underemployment by offering opportunities in individual development and relationship building. To provide opportunities for persons with autism spectrum disorder other intellectual disabilities and chronic underemployment to connect with the greater community to expand their employment and /or other educational experiences. To provide access and affordability for living essentials to those in low-socio economic area. To provide food preparation and healthy meal instructions to those in low income categories in new teaching kitchen established in 2023. To distribute those prepared meals to those frequenting the grocer 4 good store at no cost ( monday meals). To provide additional job training opportunities in teaching kitchen and in 2024 opened additional social enterprise cafe 4 good. To provide positive inclusive community space to local marginalized or underrepresented groups at cafe 4 good including lgbtq+ groups community resources and local clubs ( i.e drawing clubs).
