Green Communities Canada

Continuing in 2024 was living cities canada. The goal of this project is to improve and expand relationships between researchers municipalities and community organizations collaborating in the green infrastructure space across canada. The charity conducted activities in planning and education in active school travel. The deep energy retrofit program continued in 2024. The charity conducted activities to educate canadian homeowners towards the goal of net-zero emissions from residential homes. Funding for the charity continued to conduct research into accelerating the adoption of electric school buses in british columbia and ontario. With ongoing funding the charity continued development of a mini-forest implementation and stewardship program. With new funding the charity supported non-profit organizations across canada to ensure their environmental projects were equity-informed.
