500 volunteer hours in 2025. Invest in materials to stimulate imagination & inquiry among our community members. Host adult programs & youth programs for learning health social connection. Deliver library materials & activity kits bi-weekly to the most remote areas of the township. Conduct a weekly pre-school 'play & learn' story-time. Send books home through the school for improved home access to reading materials (weekend readers program and christmas reads). Partner with biak early on to provide indigenous activities and learning opportunities. Offer family passes to ottawa's 7 national museums & ontario parks. Provide tools for exploring our watershed & a workbook for guided learning in our nature discovery backpacks (23). Distribute experiments & activity kits provided by let's talk science (ottawa u./carleton u.) encourage our community kids to share their knowledge through 'kids teaching kids' seminars. Deliver the td summer reading program & offer incentives & weekly activities to bring participants together to celebrate learning. Support our local immigration partnership (lip) as a delivery arm for lip's cultural programming in rural ontario. Present authors and illustrators to the community. Engage kids & parents working together on problem-solving and numeracy through guided family activities (pumpkin rescue scavenger hunt book bingo). Participate in community activities as a form of outreach to residents and visitors.
