The st james church of great village preservation society initiatives include the following: making the elizabeth house available as an artist retreat welcoming regional national and international artists to our community. Maintaining and ensuring upkeep of the elizabeth bishop houe and property to preserve it as an historic building. Making the elizabeth house available to the public in the community of reat village and surrounding area for tours events group meetings and performances. Supporting local arts culture and health initiatives by facilitating connections among community groups etc. Organizing and promoting local community gatherings and events with a focus on preserving our local history and culture while drawing tourists to explore the dining shopping and outdoor opportunities in our community.
