Great Canadian Plains Railway Society

The charity was active during this fiscal period encouraging visitor tours in order to generate enthusiasm and appreciation for the train history in Southern Alberta. The charity remains committed to promoting and preserving the historical value of the railway industry in this area. The on-site interpretive and interactive displays are fully operational now with the addition of new artifacts from past eras. The charity remained active during this time by continuing their fund-raising efforts and promoting the site through various social media and print outlets. New collaborations are being formed with like-minded groups charities & societies in the area of Calgary and south to the U.S. border in order to collectively publicize the importance of landmarks traditions and cultural values of ancestral sites and events. None were instituted this past year.
