To promote the educational artistic cultural and social communities in atlantic canada and in particular prince edward island and to promote the physical health and well-being or residents of atlantic canada and in connection therewith to act as a private foundation as defined by the income tax act ( canada) to receive donations and to make donations to qualified donees as defined by the income tax act ( canada) .
