Worship services offered each sunday and christian holidays. Church members/adherents contribute financial support for qualified donees. They also volunteer hours supporting the qualified donees. Chaplain and pastor with volunteers connect/visit with the ill and shut-ins .. By phone and visitation. Ongoing sponsorships of refugee families. Have a peace garden where individuals from the past are remembered and provides a place of reflection. We have 2 peace committees being formed who meet with politicians and other leaders in the community encouraging them to live a peace-like life style. Seminars are given to educate those in the community on different social programs. We continue to implement a bears and blanket program. Chaplain and volunteers provide stuffed bears and blankets to those who are shut0in or in a long term care home and have few or no visitors. Our list of homes visited in growing. We are also providing clothing and bicycles for temporary migrant framm workers. Chaplain is collecting books for children in the school system providing them with books to take home and learn to read. These children are mostly from families living in poverty or new immigrant families learning english.
