Georgina Historical SocietyRegistered

We hold monthly meetings for members and guests on various topics related to local history. We volunteer at various events held at Georgina Pioneer Village (Harvestfest Festival of Lights Rise to Rebellion Canada Day Snofest). We attend local events with display to raise awareness and attract new members. We sell calendars and self-published occasional papers authored by members. We offer a student bursary to a qualifying high school student towards post secondary education. We did a presentation on local history to seniors at a retirement residence and we worked with the local art gallery to create an exhibit of historical photographs and artifacts.
