1.to promote excellence in the charity and non-profit sector in canada for the benefit of the public by conducing reseracn on best practices related to the charity and non-profit sector and disseminating the results of the research to the public; 2.to advance education by providing seminars workshops and resource materials related to effective governance and organizational development to organizations in the charity and non-profit sector ; and 3.to receive and maintain a fund or funds and to apply all or part of the principal and income therefrom from time to time to qualified donees as defined in subsection 149.1(1) of the income tax act ( canada)
