Gampo Abbey Monastic Society

The Gampo Abbey Monastic Society continued its fund raising activities to: foster and support a Buddhist Monastic community dedicated to the founding vision of Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche; assist with and support the operation of a monastery to sustain this monastic community; espouse practice and preserve the braided lineage of teachings Trungpa Rinpoche presented for the purpose of maintaining training and educating Buddhist nuns monks and laypersons Building on the fundraising done in the past the Gampo Abbey Monastic Society through its patrons and supporters provided funding for the start-up and operations of the 1st cycle of the 3 year retreat in 2024. Funding provided was used to: prepare the facilities for the beginning of the retreat hosting of preretreat training hosting of visiting senior monastics to initiate the retreat assistance with the operating costs of running the retreat from July 1 to December 31 2024.
