The organization provides newcomers low-income individuals and families with the home furnishing essentials needed to create the conditions of comfort dignity and stability that come from having a furnished home and overcoming the crisis of furniture poverty. Clients include women and children leaving shelters the formerly homeless indigenous and newcomers and refugees to canada. Furniture removal repair and reuse social innovation programs provide the funding and furnishings to end furniture poverty while keeping good furniture out of landfills. The organization's social hire program works with employment agencies and partners to provide work experience life and skills training and meaningful job opportunities to newcomers to canada youth and other individuals facing barriers to employment. Its social hire participants are embedded in all roles including positions within the warehouse trucking repair workshop family services an furniture social enterprises.
