Frontenac County Schools Museum Association

School groups receive a lesson and try out some props from the early 20th century; volunteers take artefacts and displays to senior residences for an informal chat; newsletters are distributed regularly; we participate in beyond the classroom kingston heritage fair doors open kingston pop-up museums and other community events. We host a speaker series which incorporates artefacts and music and factoids to describe community life in the time of one room schools. Trained college and university students ensure visitors are welcome tuesday to saturday in july and august. All work is coordinated by a curator and volunteers.
