Friends of the Rossland Range

During 2024 forr managed the rossland range recreation site (rec site) on crown lands in the province of british columbia (rec sites & trails bc division) under a partnership agreement #pa14dbk-44. The rec site is a large alpine back-country area adjacent to a provincial highway. It is comprised of parking lots trails signage a historic forestry lookout and ten small day-use cabins. The rec site is open year-round but peak time for visitors is during winter months - skiing snow-shoeing fat-tire biking and winter walking. All management maintenance and administration is done by volunteers. Forr has no employees. It does contract for some specialized skills and machine work. Memberships are lifetime for a $5 fee. Forr memberships during 2024 increased by 8 to 601 lifetime members.
