Trail Ambassador Program - assists users of the Trail by educating them on etiquette trail safety points of interest nearby amenities and the environment and they also answer users' questions. Assesses collects and reports issues along the trail to the appropriate municipality. Trail Steward Program - works with local jurisdictions to identify priorities where weeds/invasives present a risk to native habitat; provides training to volunteers on invasive species and volunteers remove weeds and tend sections of the Okanagan Rail Trail corridor. Project Management for Trail enhancement Projects – volunteers provide project management and support for capital improvement projects that are done along the trail. Interpretive Sign Projects – volunteers research and collaborate with the Okanagan Indian Band and the Vernon Museum and Archives for the purpose of developing informative materials to be used on educational interpretive signs that will be placed on the trail corridor and on the website. There were 82 volunteers who contributed in excess of 2 200 volunteer hours
