About Friends of Historic Bovaird House
Provide visitors with experience of daily life during 1800-1900 in peel (brampton) on region. Guided tours of restored bovaird house (circa 1850-1865) and pendergast log house (circa early 1800s). Special events typical of time period such as pioneer suppers and teas are presented. Volunteers also maintain a pioneer herb and vegetable garden that is on the property with the crops donated to local food banks and used to make preserves. In order to grow more awareness to the historical house new events that are not related to the 1800s living but are engaging to the community were hosted on the property this included a community trunk sale as well as a father's day bbq and classic car show.
