Freshwater Conservation Canada

Freshwater conservation canada is committed to conserving protecting and restoring canada's freshwater ecosystems and their coldwater resources for current and future generations. Programs and projects are delivered by our professional staff along with local chapters volunteers and partners. Our on-the-ground work addresses challenges related to water quality water quantity aquatic community health and freshwater habitats. Restoration work also helps to mitigate the impacts of climate change by improving ecosystem resilience and function. Programs include species at risk recovery efforts riparian rehabilitation and reforestation and implementation of low-tech proces-based restoration including beaver mimicry and other in-stream habitat improvements.
