Fresh Start Services for Women Inc.

Fresh start services in a local non-profit organization that provides support and advocacy for people suffering from or on the verge of homelessness. We meet with clients to determine their needs; liase with government agencies landlords and other social organizations in order to provide assistance to clients. We also have funds to provide direct assistance in the form of rent assistance transportation clothing personal care items etc. In late 2024 we were contracted with the nb provincial government to staff and run a housing first pilot. The project is designed to provide housing opportunities for up to 25 individuals in saint john experiencing varying levels of homelessness. The project aims to help these individuals build tenancy and community skills access safe and secure housing and for those who are able transition to independent scattered housing. We were also contracted by the nb provincial government to staff and run an out of the cold shelter in saint john.
