Four Tides Hospice Society

Provides end-of-life and bereavement support to those in the powell river regional district including tlaamin first nation and texada island. Provide social emotional and spiritual support for caregivers those with illnesses and those who are grieving new horizons for seniors program: promote volunteerism among seniors and other generations engage seniors in the community through the mentoring of others expand awareness of elder abuse including financial abuse support the social participation and inclusion of seniors the society is working with powell river regional hospital and vancouver coastal health to design and build a four-bed hospice house to provide end of life care. This project is still in the fundraising stage.
