EXISTING COMMITTEES: 1. SOCIAL MEDIA manged FHABC presence on YouTube Facebook 2. NEWSLETTER COMMITTE: Produces 2-3 newsletters per yea available to members and Online to the public 3. SPONSORSHIP & PARTNERSHIPS: connects with existing small musuems across BC UBC ARCHIVES forestry industry public and other historical instituions across North America to preserve records related to forestry and logging. 4. DIGITIZATION PROGRAM: supports BC's Forest Industry in digitally preserving historical records of past forestry logging milling. Current Projects: 1. ORAL HISTORY PROJECT: FHABC has amassed an extensive collection of oral history interview with many of BC's leading foresters executives and scholars (intervies are stored on at the UBC RARE BOOK AND SPECIAL COLLECTIONS. 2. FOREST HISTORY BOOK PRIZE: provided annual to Graduating Forestry students who achieve the highest marks on their Technical and Professional licensing. 3. Aboriginal History: started in 2023 to develop linkages with Indigenous communities involvement in forest activities.
