About Fored Bc Society
1. Protect conserve rehabilitate and enhance the environmnt and promote community sustainability. 2. Provide activities to educate the communities about cultural and economic values of the natural environment and wildlife. 3. Increase public understanding and support for cultural and historic role of forests and other natural environments in british columbia including without limitation the relationship to first nations an the environmental legacy on bc. 4. Co-operate and create partnerships with public private national and global organizations that support our mandate and build capacity. Forced volunteers include accountants lawyers educators academics business leaders first nations and youth from diverse ethnicities and abilities who support our activities through provision of in-kind expertise and outreach. Volunteer activities include numerous local post secondary youths neurodivergent (autistic) students and internation students completing two-month practicums learning and applying skills in social media promotion website and video editing translation of educational activities and digital marketing. Partner groups provide expert interview opportunities photos and b-roll plus donations of merchandise and booth space for educational exhibits and school fairs. Annual hours estimate: 1500 hours.
