Food for the Poor of Canada Inc

Food for the poor-canada is a faith-based organization dedicated to alleviating poverty in latin america and the caribbean. Our humanitarian aid provides resources such as food housing and clean water. We also focus on supporting sustainable development initiatives for education health and enhancement of livelihood. We work to defend human dignity and provide care to those in need via five (5) areas of impact: food security housing and community education economic empowerment and health we also provide emergency response services by supporting in-country partners following natural disaster and crisis. As part of the food for the poor network food for the poor-canada works with a trusted network of associated organizations including food for the poor (in florida) food for the poor-guyana and food for the poor-honduras. We also collaborate with in-country implementation partners who help us create lasting impacts. Strong partnerships with local organizations volunteers and the support of our generous donor community allow us to create pathways out of poverty. Volunteers show their support not only by raising funds for programs and projects but may also travel to jamaica to provide direct in-country support for building homes or additional school infrastructure. Together we work to break the cycle of poverty by strengthening communities and supporting individuals through sustainable development initiatives across latin america and the caribbean.
