These programs meet the registered charity's mission statement (amended in 2023): with its roots in the atlantic region of north america qlf engages environmental leaders worldwide to advnace community-based and larger-scale conservation and stewardship of natural resources and cultural heritage. Regional programs also represent the new vision statement (amended in 2023): the quebec-labrador foundation envisions a world in which nature and human societies thrive together and people of good will collaborate to solve the global issues of our time - climate change depletion of natural resources biodiversity loss and planetary health. Building upon its extensive legacy of engaging a worldwide network of conservation and community leaders qlf actively seeks innovative solutions and facilitates knowledge exchange across generations cultures and borders staying connected conservation initiative staying connected conservation initiative in connectivity conservation and restoration is established to conserve and restore ecological connectivity for nature and people across the globally significant transborder northern appalachian-acadian/wabanaki bioregion of northeastern north america. The initiative's new project is the northeastern north america landscape connectivity summit to be held in summer 2024. It will bring together leaders influencers and partners from seven u.s. States five canadian provinces and indigenous nations. The summit will involve decision-makers frontline staff indigenous leaders
