First United Church

We hold worship services weekly in person and by ZOOM. Additional services are held in accordance with the United Church of Canada customs. Space is provided for funerals memorials and weddings for Prince Rupert and outlaying areas. We provide pastoral care for the local hospital and Senior's care facility. Space is provided for the local Hospice Society. We donate funds to the United Church's Mission and Service Fund our denomination headquarters which is a registered charity for national and international mission activities with partner churches. We also provide space for the local Narc-a-non group a Al-a-non a AA group a local Scouting groups as well as a Girl Guide program. We provide space for wellness activities for seniors and youth. We put on free clothing and houseware events for low income individuals new immigrants and foreign students. A singalong and visitation program is provided to the local Senior's care facility.
