First Baptist Church

We conduct worship services on Sundays; we hold Sunday school classes for children and bible study classes for adults. We give financial and non-financial assistance to refugees from the Congo and Kenia. We have a bible study group for disadvantaged women from the community; we have a study group for women who are connected to the church; we have a support worker who visits low income families and helps them enroll their children with learning difficulties in a tutorial program held at Sydenham Street United Church. This program is staffed with Queen’s University students as tutors. We give funding to needy children to attend summer camps.
