Firm Foundations Christian Outreach

Our ladies bible study has grown in attendees and we are meeting once a week. Our Community Coffee House is open every first and third Thursday. Each year we see different community members stepping forward to help bring this program to the community. We continue our Community Outreach by assisting folks where we can especially with funds for travel and expenses when having health issues and we donated to a local family who had a house fire and a new Canadian who didn't have medical coverage when admitted to the hospital. We continue the Adopt A Senior as Secret Santa this year we received a large donation for the Secret Santa Program and we filled even more gift bags than previous years. We continue to annually support the Valemount Secondary Graduating students. We voted to not hold any more Annual Yellow Duck Raffles; We had pledged funds to the Valemount Elementary School Parent Advisory Council Society and we honoured the pledge by paying from our general tithes and recycling program for whatever the current needs of the children were. Our community continues to give their recycling to assist us in providing financial aid to community members and this has been a tremendous help. We held a free Christmas Dinner and over fifty community members attended. We worked along side our Valemount Community to assist the folks displaced by the Jasper Fires.
