Farmers Helping Farmers Inc.

Farmers helping farmers undertakes food production programs by training kenyan women to irrigate and produce field vegetable and gruit crops for food and cash income. Nutritional training provided improves child nutrition. School feeding programs train local farmers and provide food for school lunch programs. Programs in cooperation with the university of prince edward island train students and kenyans in education nursing nutrition biology and veerinarian services. Health programs distributes mosquito nets trains young women in family and child rearing. Public schools on pei are twinned with kenyan schools providing for exchanges and increased mutual understanding. Assistance and training is provided mile dairies to increase milk quality and production on small farms. Water tanks irrigation systems and school cook houses are supplied. Mosquito nets have been provided to schools and a tractor has been provided to increase efficiency and profitability. Farmers helping farmers continues to provide new water tanks to additional schools thus providing drinking and cooking water for schools. Provision of cook houses in ongoing with at least one new school added per year. Nutrition of school children continues to improve by facilitating vegetable production for school lunches at additional rural kenyan schools.
