Family SOS Association

Family SOS was founded by Dr. John Anderson a Pediatrician at the IWK. While working in the Emergency Room Dr. Anderson witnessed first hand the need for a proactive approach to addressing child abuse and neglect in the Halifax Regional Municipality. Family SOS Association was founded to respond to this need taking a preventative approach to assisting familities through developing parenting confidence and skills and providing child-centred programming. (i.e. Food support Healthy Teez/Kids In home parenting support etc)
