Consulting with family council members and staff of long-term care homes via phone and e mail to provide information help brainstorm and assist in resolving issues - Presentations and workshop on family council development and maintenance - Training long term care home staff on how to build and maintain positive relationships with residents’ families and how to work with the Family Council - Online presentation on sector issues and initiatives - Hosting conferences and events to provide learning and networking opportunities - Education through our resources including our newsletter educations resources and our family council Handbook - Connecting and informing family councils via our website Facebook page our YouTuve channel and twitter feed. - Engaging in public policy dialogue with government and sector partners - Supporting knowledge exchange vis research projects Coaching sessions with family councils and long-term care home administrators on how to best support effectice relationships
