1. Stem Cells Donor Drives and Cancer Education Workshops The Foundation organized stem cell drives and cancer education workshops in Calgary Edmonton Lethbridge the Greater Toronto Area Ottawa Winnipeg. The workshops and donor drives targeted at Canadian residents aged 17-35 as that is the eligibility age for stem cell registration. The drives were held at multicultural centers community halls churches mosques universities and college campuses. For each event a representative of the Foundation with strong stem cells and cancer knowledge as well as an external experts presented. 2. Development and distribution of Brochures on stem cells frequently asked questions To achieve the goal of advancing blood cancer and stem cells education among Canadian youth especially visible minorities the Ezra Marfo Cancer Foundation developed brochures on frequently asked stem cells questions. The brochure are in both English and French and answer questions mostly asked at stem cell donor drive events. The brochures were be vetted by Canadian Blood Services. Distribution of the brochures will commence in May of 2023. The printed brochure were disseminated at events organized by the Foundation to participants. Also brochure holders with the printed brochures will be made available at multicultural centers and at other locations frequented by people aged 17-35 years. 3. Distribution of Quarterly Newsletters The Foundation sent out electronic newsletters to those on its mailing list to further advance stem cells and blood cancer education. At every event as part of the free registration process participants were given the option to subscribe to the Foundation’s newsletter. Quarterly newsletters focusing on stem cells and blood cancers will be sent out to further help educate Canadians on stem cells and blood cancers. 4.
