Etobicoke Philharmonic Society

Perform six orchestral concerts per year in West Toronto with between eight and ten rehearsals per concert -Provide opportunities for musicians of all ages and skill levels to participate -Offer a scholarship each year for up to eight high school and university music students -Promote local musicians and soloists and host their performances -Conduct a bi-annual Young Composers Competition to recognize and celebrate the top composers in Canada under the age of 30 -Provide talented young string players with the opportunity to gain orchestral experience professional mentorship and some financial assistance to support their music studies via the Charlotte Thorpe Memorial Scholarship (funded completely by donations)
