Continued voluntary hr support for the 5 year midwifery project with the university of alberta dfatd st paul's millenium medical college and the ethiopian federal ministry of health. This project focuses on strengthening frontline care giver skills developing highly skilled midwifery trainers and training opportunities with ophthalmic fellowships. Raising funds for a water and sanitation project in the rural northern area of ethiopia. Health indicators demonstrate that ethiopia has serious problems in the area of health care and disease prevention. Water and sanitation-related diseases particularly diarrhea are among the top three causes of death in the country. Only 11% of the population has access to safe drinking water and many people survive on a strict ration of less than five liters of water per day.
