Environmental Health Foundation of Canada

The activities of the environmental health foundation of canada (ehfc) are coordinated by a board of trustees who come from the environmental public health profession educational institutions government and industry. During 2024 our ten (10) member volunteer board dedicated their time and expertise to the work of the foundation through our executive advancement and governance committees. The board continued to promote environmental public health education across canada support student research award up to eight (8) professional awards created in partnership with industry in the field of environmental public health and recognize colleagues achieving the highest level of dedication commitment continuing education and leadership. The board also succeeded in its fundraising goals by hosting events to support the work of the foundation. The board of trustees in currently in the process of updating financial policies and developing and expanding procedures. Continued the environmental public health (eph) research grant that will facilitate partnerships between the field and academia that will benefit eph practitioners. Supported three (3) environmental public health students by awarding a bursary to attend the national professional educational conderence. In collaboration with indigenous services canada the foundation awarded two students funding to fully cover their first year of schooling at an accredited environmental public health education program along with partial living costs.
