English Language Tutoring for the Ottawa Community

English language tutoring for the ottawa community (eltoc) provides individualized and accessible english as a second language (esl) tutoring to newcomers to ottawa who cannot attend regular esl classes thereby helping them gain the confidence and community ties that will help them intergrate into canadian society. Eltoc achieves its mission by matching newcomers to eltoc-training volunteers in the community. Tutoring in our refugee program is delivered by esl teachers who can accommodate small groups of up to four students and tutor in areas where there are very few volunteer tutors available. To qualify all students must not be able to attend regular school and must be eligible for immigration refugee citizenship canada (ircc) programs.
