Leadership development: working with university chapters and professional chapters to provide leadership and development opportunities to students and young professionals. Ewb hosts events such as an annual conference regional retreats and leadership retreats for ewb leaders to convene and participate in learning sessions. Ewb chapters run a range of activities for students on their campus including member learning events high school outreach systems change leadership and more around the topics of leveraging engineering and technological innovation to address challenges in canada and internationally. Public awareness: ewb aims to increase financing for development and create an enabling environment for social enterprises through policy analysis and research capacity building of volunteers and staff on advocacy skills and policy issues running campaigns involving chapter members fellows and broader community of supporters and partnerships with civil society organizations. Fellowships: ewb runs the canada africa innovation fellowship deploying canadian fellows to uganda to work with ugandan fellows on challenges related to climate change. The fellows apply engineering and technical skills to address challenges to real community issues. Professional mentors support the fellows virtually.
