HEALTHY MUM’S PROGRAM - Maternal and child health workers (mother leaders) are trained and supported to visit/advise/care for mums and babies providing practical support towards healthy pregnancies and full-term healthy babies. EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION – Provide training and support for preschool teachers and caregivers at each program site offering a sound educational foundation in English for children. The program focuses on the first five years of life by implementing interventions to enhance a child's physical and cognitive development. VOCATIONAL TRAINING - Skill training and experience in useful trades is provided towards enabling an income for families in local communities. Training options include sewing and tailoring knitting and carpentry and construction. SOCIAL/ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT- Personal business development initiatives for mums are organized and self funded within the many community collective associations for the purpose of generating income through small projects. HEALING THE NEXT GENERATION - Support personnel are trained to work with women who have been victimized and still suffer from the trauma and isolation resulting from the Rwandan genocide.
