Elmvale Community Church

Sunday morning worship service featuring worship in music prayer teaching as well as community connection. We livestream this service on youtube for those who are not able to attend in person. We provide in-person programming for child nursery aged to grade 6 during the service. We also run several community programs including the money program a budgeting course for those having a hard time with finances. A cognitive behaviour therapy group for those experiencing anxiety and depression. Soccer camp a weekly-long sports camp for kids aged 6-12 in the summer staffed by youth and adult volunteers. Sharewear a free clothing ministry entirely run by volunteers with clothing provided by community donations of used and gently used clothing. Sharewear is open four days a week. Freezer meals for those sick shit-in or experiencing hardship. Adamant youth group for young people grades 7-12. Church in the park an outdoor sunday service that we put on at heritage park once a twice a year. Christmas in the square a fun family service at elmvale gateway parkette on christmas eve. We also run various potlucks and bbq's and social gatherings for our congregation and community. We have several mid-week life groups and bible studies for adults at different ages and stages of their lives to provide teaching prayer and social connection for adults in our congregation and community. Transitional housing program âe we are converting the 3-bedroom apartment above 9 queen street east to a transitional housing program that will house a family who is at risk of homelessness for a period of one to two years. This program will provide housing and wrap-around supports including mental health supports job and career supports education supports and health and wellness supports. Repair night âe we live in a disposable culture. Many items that can be fixed end up in the landfill which costs the environment as well as the consumer.
